Effects of living in an Ass-licking country - US after 30 years of Bhopal Tragedy decides to not compensate the victims

Firstly, our country men are used to delayed justice or no justice at all. Secondly, non-assertive aam janata of India thinks its destiny that we are the meeker and the weaker class and that US can dictate its terms on us. Gandhiji to be blamed for this. There are times when we have to pick up the pieces and not join them but hit the guy suppressing us. Make that guy bleed. After 30 years of the Bhopal Gas Leak tragedy and after letting the US Court adjudicate a matter which involves inummerable deaths and injuries to health and the environment of our country, US Court says that the parent Union Carbide Company is not responsible for the gas leak and that they will not pay any damages to the victims. On the face of it and with all the evidence this is clear travesty of justice. The more important part is what will India do about this. The judge compared the KFC case, I would like to bring the judge to this fact that he should also compare the damage that people suffered in these 2 cases. Did 25,000 people die in the KFC case? Dod over a million people Suffer severe health injuries? 30 years, and traces of the gas are still evident in the soil and water around the devastated lands. I wonder if an Indian company caused similar devastation on US land, would US tolerate it the way we are? I think they would rather declare war out of spite on India. More than feeling sorry for the victims and their families (as they all might be dead by now) I feel bad for India and her pride as a nation. A country so big and in its pursuit to shine has no idea of the repercussions of allowing companies manufaturing hazardous goods to set up plants on our land. Make contracts wisely, is my only advice to the government. Keep strict damage clauses and let Indian courts adjudicate. Start to think that you are the king and you will become one. Power is a subjective term. Don't see a white man and think he is obviously superior to us. He is superior because we as Indians consider ourselves inferior.

Romana and her Playschool

Romana is my 18 month old daughter and this June she has started play school. I was very apprehensive before she started. She would not sip out of her sippy bottle not eat not sit in 1 place for more than a minute. All this has changed substantially. Now after 2 weeks of starting school I am so impressed with what all she has learnt in this brief period. To all my friends who have babies and are apprehensive as to what age to start their schooling my advice is 18 months in a reputed school. The faculty and the facility in her school kangaroo kids is excellent. They are well versed with how to handle every type of child. They teach constructive play. Now Romana listens to my basic instructions and sings songs. She is more independent and playful. She loves going out so this morning routine makes her whole day go well. She comes home and tries to read out of her books. Points and narrates animal and fruit names. It's an amazing feeling to see my child learn and grow positively. She sings songs and dances. Her confidence shines out now. She is less scared of things. These are big achievements for an 18 month old. Obviously all this is possible only because of the way in which this school functions. So choose a school after completely being satisfied that your child will be safe and will learn good habits.
