For TRUE LOVE:
1. Mumtaz was Shahjahans 4th wife out of 7
2. Shahjahan killed Mumtaz’s husband to marry her
3. Mumtaz died in her 14th delivery
4. After Mumtaz’s death Shahjahan married her sister
What comes time and again to my mind after reading these facts is whether we should call our prestigious “Taj Mahal” the true symbol of love. Shahjahan didn't even know the meaning of true love, all that I can deduce is that he was blinded in lust. I won’t disagree that architecturally it’s a marvel, but I would think a zillion times before calling it a “Symbol of True Love.”
Taj Mahal gives us Foreign Currency but it would be foolish to compare anyone’s love with that of Shahjahan and Mumtaz.
